Look out, world: A high school senior and Arctic Youth Ambassador, Carter is proud to have a voice in the climate change conversation. He’s also a youth representative for the Qawalangin Tribal Council, a star basketball player and Native Youth Olympics athlete. Up next? Pursuing an environmental law degree.
Aleutian life: Raised in Unalaska, Carter embraces his Aleut heritage. “I’m becoming more culturally-attached.”
Arctic awareness: As an Arctic Youth Ambassador, he educates others about the cultural impacts of climate change. “Our land is the one thing we can truly hold on to. We have to be the change now.”
