Fairbanks roots and wings: Three-time cancer survivor, third generation Alaskan, wife and mother of three.
AK fighter: Becky was only 12 when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The radiation treatment killed her cancer but fueled the development of cancer in her thyroid and breasts. “My family held me together more times than I can count. My family gave me a reason to fight.”
Paying it forward: Becky is the driving force behind the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Fairbanks and has raised over $220,000 for the American Cancer Society in just two years. “By funding more research we can give more time to moms, dads and kids we will never meet so they don’t have to suffer.”
Whether you were born and raised in Alaska or just have the Alaska born and raised spirit, we want to hear from you.
