Anchorage, Alaska – In partnership with Alaska Airlines and the Seattle Mariners, GCI has announced two winners, Allison Dahl of Fairbanks and Rick Volk of Eagle River, of a trip for two to Phoenix, Ariz., for the ultimate Mariners spring training experience.
“GCI is committed to connecting Alaskans to the things they are most passionate about, and working with our partners at the Mariners organization and Alaska Airlines to give these deserving fans such an exciting and unique experience is another way we are fulfilling this commitment,” said GCI Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Services Paul Landes.
Dahl, Volk and their guests will be treated to round-trip airfare from Alaska Airlines, receive two tickets to Mariners spring training games and gain access to special events. They will also have an opportunity to explore Phoenix with a rental car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car; experience a day on the greens at the renowned McCormick Ranch Golf Club in the golf mecca of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and enjoy the luxury accommodations at the Millennium Resort and Villas Scottsdale, where they will receive complimentary lodging for three nights. GCI is also providing Dahl and Volk with a $750 Visa gift card for dining and entertainment.
To win, Alaskans watched KTVA Channel 11 newscasts live or online from Feb. 24 – March 9, for the daily code word, which was announced around the time of each sportscast. After obtaining the code word, viewers visited www.gci.com/spring to enter the code word for a chance to win. Out of nearly 1,200 contestants, Dahl and Volk were selected as the lucky winners.
