ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – GCI is delivering the evolution of customer service to Alaskans. Today, the Alaska-based company announced GCI 2 U, a delivery service that brings wireless devices to your home or office, often same-day. This convenient experience saves time for GCI’s valued customers by removing the need to go into a GCI retail store for wireless needs. GCI is committed to making its customers’ lives easier and keeps Alaska up to date on the latest technology.
Starting Monday, June 8, GCI customers in Anchorage and Eagle River will have the ability to have a GCI 2 U representative deliver a wireless device to their home, office or other predetermined location by calling GCI and scheduling a delivery.
Throughout the week of June 1, listeners to iHeartMedia stations 101.3 KGOT and KASH Country 107.5 will have the exclusive opportunity to be the first in the state to experience this service. Dozens of winners in the Anchorage and Eagle River area will have new wireless devices, accessories and even Toby Keith tickets delivered by a GCI 2 U representative and a surprise guest from the new KASH Country morning team. Listeners can tune in all week for chances to win.

If a customer wants a new phone, GCI 2 U is able to deliver a new device in as little as one hour. Once the order is placed, a GCI 2 U representative will arrive at the predetermined time and location in a well-marked GCI 2 U vehicle and deliver the wireless device. The driver will even help customers activate their new device and have mobile accessories available for purchase.
Upon launch on June 8, GCI 2 U delivery service will be available daily from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Customers can schedule a delivery. A GCI team member will help customers set up an appointment with a GCI 2 U representative, set a location to meet, leave a contact number and note any special instructions for delivery.
GCI remains at the cutting edge of customer service to create the easiest and most accessible means of service for its dedicated customers. The company plans to expand GCI 2 U service to offer an even larger array of services, including Internet and TV product delivery, which is not currently offered anywhere in the country.
