Fairbanks-area GCI stores collect donations for Rex Complex Wildfires

Fairbanks, Alaska – Community donations of nonperishable items are being collected at GCI stores in Fairbanks and North Pole to support crews fighting the Rex Complex Wildfires.

"The Fairbanks community is no stranger to wildfires. All of us at GCI want to help in any way that we can,” said GCI Interior Region Stores Manager Roxy Marcy. “Collecting and delivering donations to the Fairbanks and North Pole areas is the least we can do to support the brave firefighters and affected families."

Requested donations to support fire crews include such nonperishable items as:

  • Water
  • Trail mix
  • Granola bars
  • Sports drinks (Gatorade, Vitamin Water or similar)
