Dillingham store opening

Anchorage, Alaska - To celebrate the opening, GCI is hosting an open house, featuring a free community BBQ with hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks and refreshments on Friday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 414 2nd Ave. in Dillingham, Alaska.

Attendees can also enter to win 25,000 Alaska Airlines Miles, an HTC One or a Sony Xperia Z. In addition, GCI will be offering in-store specials and giveaways throughout the day.

GCI’s store in Dillingham officially opened for business on May 5 and will employ up to 4 residents. The store is currently serving wireless subscribers from Dillingham and surrounding communities. The new location is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“Our Dillingham location will give residents the chance to have a hands-on experience with the variety of wireless devices and services that GCI offers and decide what best suits their needs,” said GCI Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Services Paul Landes. “And, community involvement is one of GCI’s highest priorities, and having this kind of presence in Dillingham will give us more opportunities to connect with members of the community.”

There will be many tablets and 3G-capable smartphones for the customer to experience in the new store. GCI brought 3G services to Dillingham in October 2013.
