A subsea fiber issue has been confirmed offshore near Chignik Bay. We are actively coordinating with a repair vessel, which is expected to arrive on site and complete repairs in 7–14 days. Internet service is operating at a limited level in all impacted communities as we manage network capacity using backup satellite systems. Wireless calling, texting, and limited mobile data is also available in all impacted communities, including Akutan, Chignik Bay, False Pass, King Cove, Perryville, and Unalaska.
