Network Priority creates a WiFi boost by lettings you decide which types of data take the lead on your home network, creating a temporarily bump in performance for specific activities like gaming, streaming, or video calls. Have an important gaming session coming up? Give it priority for peak performance over everything else on your network, with AK-Fi Home.


Here's how it works:

You can boost an app category, a person, or a specific device in your home for 3 hours, 6 hours, or until the end of the day. You can also extend the boost by the hour or cancel it anytime to return to your home’s Automated Priority, which is the default setting to keep everything running smoothly.

Note: Only one type of Network Priority boost can be active at a time.

How to Enable a Network Priority Boost with AK-Fi Home


  1. Tap on Current Priority.

  2. Choose the type of boost you want to apply:

    a. App category prioritization appears at the top.

    b. Scroll down to see the Person Profile and device prioritization.

    c. Devices can be found inside of the profiles. Tap the down arrow to expand the profile to see its devices.

    d. Scroll to the bottom to find Home Security Boost.

  3. Tap the option you want to apply.

  4. Tap Done in the top right corner to save your changes.
