Lawful Compliance
GCI provides assistance to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, courts, attorneys, and customers pursuant to accepted legal processes, while continuing to protect the privacy of our customers as required by law and applicable privacy policies. GCI also complies with civil and criminal processes and adheres to all applicable state and federal laws.
GCI's goal is to provide accurate and timely responses to all law encorcement, legal, and customer requests. The following information is provided to help ensure such requests are directed to the correct individuals. Failure to use these designated GCI contacts and/or required GCI forms for requests may delay the timing of any responses.
CALEA requests
For all routine requests from law enforcement agencies (LEAs) pursuant to the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act, 47 USC 1001-1010 (CALEA), please submit requests in writing by mail or email:

Exigent circumstances requests
In order to provide timely and responsive service in the event of an exigent circumstance, LEAs and Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) must provide a GCI Exigent Circumstances Form, or the legal equivalent, to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Failure to use GCI format may cause a delay in response.
All emergency or exigent circumstances forms must be submitted to the TAC by fax or email:

If you are GCI customer requesting information pertaining to your account, a request for Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) pursuant to ยง222 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, you must contact GCI Customer Service.
