Anonymous Call Rejection

To Activate
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Anonymous Call Rejection activation code, *77 (1177 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. You will hear an announcement stating that the service is activated.
  4. Hang up the receiver.
To Inactivate:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Anonymous Call Rejection inactivation code, *87 (1187 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. You will hear an announcement stating that the service is inactivated.
  4. Hang up the receiver.

Call Block

To Activate:
  1. Pick up the handset and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *67 (1167 on a rotary dial phone).
  3. Dial a number as usual.
  4. The person called will not be able to see the number displayed on their telephone display screen. Instead "private" will be displayed.

Call Forwarding

Loop & DP
To Activate

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Call Forwarding activation code, 72# (1172 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. Listen for dial tone.
  4. Dial the telephone number to which you want calls forwarded.
  5. Advise someone at that telephone number you will be forwarding your calls. Or if no one answers or the line is busy:
    • Within 2 minutes, repeat steps 1 through 4.
    • Listen for confirmation tones to let you know service is activated.
    • Hang up the receiver. Calls will be automatically forwarded until you inactivate the service.
To Inactivate:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Call Forwarding inactivation code, 73# (1173 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. Listen for a confirmation dial tone, which indicates the service has been inactivated.
  4. Hang up the receiver.

Wholesale 
To Activate

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Call Forwarding activation code, *72 (1172 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. Listen for dial tone.
  4. Dial the telephone number to which you want calls forwarded.
  5. Advise someone at that telephone number you will be forwarding your calls. Or if no one answers or the line is busy:
  6. Hang up the receiver.
  7. Within 2 minutes, repeat steps 1 through 4.
  8. Listen for confirmation tones to let you know service is activated.
  9. Hang up the receiver. Calls will be automatically forwarded until you inactivate the service.

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Call Forwarding inactivation code, *73 (1173 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. Listen for a confirmation dial tone, which indicates the service has been inactivated.

Caller ID With Call Waiting

To Activate

  1. While on a call, you will hear a different Call Waiting pattern-a higher pitched tone, a pause, and then only one regular sounding Call Waiting beep.
  2. The name and number associated with the call will appear on the display.
  3. Follow the regular Enhanced Call Waiting feature instructions to handle the call.

Continuous Redial

To Activate

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial number you want to call
  3. Upon hearing a busy signal press the switchhook (talk/flash button on newer handsets) and release it quickly listening for a special dial tone (If you've already hung up pick up the handset and listen for normal dial tone.
  4. Dial the Continuous Redial activation code, *66 (1166 on a rotary dial telephone).
  5. If the number is still busy hang up and your phone will automatically check the number for up to 30 minutes!
  6. A call back ring alerts you if the line becomes free.

To Inactivate:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the Continuous Redial inactivation code, *86 (1186 on a rotary dial telephone).
  3. Listen for confirmation tone or announcement and hang up.

Enhanced Call Waiting 

To Activate:

  1. While on a call, you will be alerted that you have an incoming call with two separate tones/tone patterns.
  2. Ask the party you are talking with to hold while you take the other call. 
    • Quickly press and release the switchhook (talk/flash button on newer handsets). 
    • You are now connected to the second party and can switch back and forth between calls using the switchhook (talk/flash button on newer handsets) 
  3. To end the conversation with the first party, press the switchhook (talk/flash button on newer handsets)  for more than one second or hang up. 

Cancel Call Waiting

To cancel the Call Waiting service before placing a call or during a call (if you have Three-Way Calling service). 

Before placing a call:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *70 (1170 on a rotary dial telephone).
    • Eagle River WS: 70#
  3. Listen for three short tones and dial tone.
  4. Dial the telephone number of the party you wish to call.
  5. Talk with the party.
  6. Hang up the receiver. Call Waiting service is activated again for subsequent calls.

During a call:

*This requires Three-Way Calling or another switchhook (talk/flash button on newer handsets) service.

  1. While on a call, quickly press and release the switchhook (talk/flash button on newer handsets).
  2. Listen for dial tone.
  3. Dial *70 (1170 on a rotary dial telephone).
    • Eagle River WS: 70#
  4. Listen for three short tones (this confirms that you have canceled Call Waiting for this call).
  5. You will automatically be reconnected to the existing call.

Follow Me Call Forwarding (FMCF) 

To Activate

  1. Dial the telephone number to access Follow Me Call Forwarding service:
    • Anchorage: 907-868-0080
    • Fairbanks: 907-374-0080
    • Juneau: 907-523-0080
  2. Listen for instructions and dial the 10 digit phone number (907-XXX-XXXX) which has Follow Me Call Forwarding service(s) on the line.
  3. Confirm number you just entered.
  4. If the number is correct, enter the PIN number.
  5. Listen for instructions, which will ask to dial the activation code; 72#.
  6. Listen for instructions to dial the forward-to telephone number.
  7. Dial the number you want calls to be forwarded to.
  8. If the number is correct, dial 1 OR If the number is incorrect, dial 0.
  9. Hang up receiver.

    To inactivate this service, follow the same instructions, but use 73# as the inactivation code.
