Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- Cable modem
- WiFi Pod
- Power cord
- Coaxial cable cord
- Ethernet cable
- WiFi enabled device (phone/tablet)
- MyGCI credentials
Then follow these steps:
- Use the coaxial cable cord to connect the cable modem to an active cable outlet on the wall in your home.
- Connect the cable modem to the power cord provided and then plug into an electrical outlet.
- Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the cable modem, and the other end to the ethernet port on the WiFi Pod. If your WiFi Pod doesn't have a globe icon, use either port.
- Plug WiFi pod into a wall outlet.
- Give us a call at 800-800-4800 or send a chat on gci.com so we can activate your service. After we activate the modem, it will take just a few minutes for it to reboot.
- Download the AK-Fi Home app and install it on your mobile device.
- Use your MyGCI credentials to log in.
- Follow the instruction in the setup wizard and click “All Done.” Your network will be ready to go in just a few minutes.
