No. The One Year Free Mobile offer provides a qualifying mobile service line at no monthly service cost for one year. The promotion does not automatically include a free smartphone device. However, depending on current promotions, you may be eligible for special device offers, including select phones, tablets, or hotspots. Ask a GCI representative about available device promotions.

No. The One Year Free Mobile promotion applies to a new qualifying mobile line, not an existing line already on your account.
If you're already a GCI customer, you may still qualify by adding an additional line, such as:

  • A family member's phone
  • A child's phone
  • A tablet
  • A mobile hotspot

A GCI representative can review your account and explain the options available to you.

Usually, yes—but it depends on your device. Before switching, make sure:

  • Your phone is compatible with the GCI network.
  • Your phone is unlocked from your current carrier.
  • Any existing financing or carrier restrictions have been satisfied.

If your device isn't compatible or is carrier-locked, GCI can discuss device options that may be available. Some device promotions may include financing agreements, so be sure to ask about terms before enrolling.

*Limited time offer, available in select locations only. Requires activation of new mobile or internet service on a new GCI+ plan. One-year free mobile is applied to the first 12 billing periods as a $10/month discount totaling $120, but USF and E911 fees will not be credited. After 1 year, the mobile line will be billed at the regular rate in effect at that time. GCI+ is a bundled rate plan, including internet and one line of unlimited mobile service. The rate for the first unlimited mobile line is calculated as the difference between a stand-alone internet plan and the corresponding GCI+ bundle plan. Offer available only in markets where GCI+ is available, and cannot be combined with other offers or promotions. This offer does not require a term commitment, but terms and conditions and additional charges and fees will apply, including any applicable service commitments as part of device financing. Offer for Additional Line for current GCI+ customers will have a different monthly credit amount to cover 1 year of plan fees, and requires adding a new line and maintaining the original and additional free lines for the duration of the promotional period.
