New Music Choice Channels to the Lineup

Teen MC: A hyper-focused pop channel targeting teens and tweens (who are aging up) that features just the music and artists they love; Music Choice is programming music to a young audience that is starting to define their own tastes.  Appeals to Teens while giving tweens something to “aspire” to. Core artists include: Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Macklemore

Pop Rhythmic: A non-stop mix tape of up-tempo and mid-tempo songs from the worlds of Pop, Hip Hop and Dance. The channel sets the mood for a party or any get together that requires a consistent mix of party music that appeals to a diverse crowd of 18-24 year olds.  More rhythmic sound than from Hit List, very diverse appeal and very popular with Hispanic audiences.  Core artists include: Justin Timberlake, Drake, Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Miguel, Macklemore, Lil Wayne

Pop Country: A hybrid of Hit List and Today’s Country. Blended channels have been the new trend now that huge country artists have crossed over into Pop.  Core artists include: Hunter Hayes, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez

Y2K: A new decades channel (for the 2000s) to build upon MC current offering of 70s, 80s & 90s. Much like our other “decade” channels, Y2K will be comprised of up-tempo Top 40 hits.  A mix of Pop, lighter themed-Hip Hop and friendlier Rock set the mood.  Core artists include: Britney Spears, NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Justin Timberlake

Love Songs: A Pop driven mood-based channel that delivers all the best of today’s love songs; this channel is mid to down tempo with a sprinkling of mid/up tempo monster love songs.  Love and romantic themed titles will dominate the channel.   Core artists include: Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Adele

Additional Changes to the Lineup

Rock Hits: This is a name change from Retro Rock. We also infused the best of Classic Alt. Rock Hits is a new “classic rock” for 25-44 yr. olds. Rock Hits is a marriage of all things rock from 1986 to the early 2000s. Mid to up-tempo rock channel. The flow will seamlessly meld all of the styles that defined the ever evolving rock scenes. Core artists include: Guns N’ Roses, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters

Country Hits: This is a name change from True Country. The channel will also feature new music from the channel’s core artists.  Playing the number one country hits from the 90s and 00s along with the established hits from today from the formats biggest artists. Core artists include: Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, George Strait, Martina McBride

Dance/EDM: This is a name change to better reflect how consumers relate to the music. Core artists include: Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Deadmaus5, Krewella

Removing the Classic Alternative channel from the lineup; however the new Rock Hits channel will be infused with the best of Classic Alternative.
