Managed IP Phone Service for Local and Long Distance Telephone Service

IP Phone:  With the managed IP Phone solution offered through OIT and GCI, users will benefit from voice calling services, maintenance, updates and repairs,  installs, moves, adds, changes and disconnects for the monthly Phone Rate listed at: http://doa.alaska.gov/ets/IPT/pricingFAQs.html

Long Distance:  State of Alaska agencies in any location can receive long distance calling for all in or out-of-state calls at only 4¢ per minute.  Features include Direct Dial, Toll Free Dialing and Calling Cards.

GCI no longer offers audio conferencing services. However, we have identified Turbobridge as a potential alternative provider that could meet your conference calling needs. AdvantageVoice - Hosted Telephone service outside Anchorage, Fairbanks & Juneau

Enjoy the benefits of a hosted VoIP phone system with GCI AdvantageVoice. Use your current environment to benefit from the power of the GCI hosted core VoIP platform. With AdvantageVoice you’ll enjoy the features most in demand including; voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, call transfer, call forwarding, music on hold, call pick-up, do not disturb, speed dial, phone address book, Up to 6-way Ad-Hoc conferencing, call park, iDivert, missed call notification and meet-me conferencing.  AdvantageVoice provides a perfect replacement for PBX and Key systems, a feature set consistent with all other SOA IPT locations, and allows you to use your current telephony environment.   AdvantageVoice Basic service includes the handset and the power of GCI’s hosted core VoIP platform for a low monthly fee of $37.08 per month per phone.

AdvantageVoice is only available outside Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau where OIT Telephone Service is not available.  AdvantageVoice Basic service requires a customer environment with PoE (Power over Ethernet) local area network (LAN), voice capable Cisco router and sufficient local Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) connectivity with DID or local phone numbers. Many State offices will have some or all of these in their existing office environment. Additional hardware or local phone services may need to be purchased if they are not already in place to utilize AdvantageVoice.

Project and Consulting

GCI provides additional services for Agencies or offices deploying new locations, moving to new locations, expanding their existing IP phone deployment or looking to provide IP phones services in locations outside the OIT services areas of Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.  These services are available to the State at special contract rates and include: IP phone system consulting and design; Equipment sales and installation; On-site cabling and site preparation.
