ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – GCI has launched FastPhone service and smartphones at 22 Carrs|Safeway store locations across Alaska.

FastPhone gives customers flexibility to choose a plan that works with their budget. As a prepaid service, there are never any contracts or credit checks required. Customers can either choose a GCI FastPhone prepackaged smartphone or add service to their existing phone. Coverage can either be nationwide or statewide and data plans up to 4GB are available. The FastPhone website allows customers to change their plans at their convenience, anytime.

“FastPhone offers a flexible option for Alaskans.  These plans also allow seasonal workers, visiting friends and family and others access to mobile service where they need it, when they need it. GCI’s FastPhone customers experience our 4GLTE GSM network quality and get service in areas of Alaska where other carriers don’t have coverage,” said GCI Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Services Paul Landes.

GCI FastPhone services work on Alaska’s largest wireless network, in over 200 communities statewide. Talk-and-text options range from $25 to $40, while smartphone plan options range from $45 to $65 with the ability to add data as needed.

GCI FastPhone can be found at Carrs|Safeway stores in Anchorage, Eagle River, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, North Pole, Seward, Soldotna, Valdez and Wasilla. For more information about GCI’s FastPhone program, visit gci.com or call 1-800-800-4800.
