Basic Wireless Troubleshooting Steps

If you are still experiencing technical issues after completing the following steps, please call GCI Technical Support 800-800-4800.

GSM handset

If your device has a SIM Card (iPhone is different, please see the iPhone section) and is not functioning properly:

  1. Power device ON (If no power, check your battery’s charge).
  2. Remove the back cover.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Remove the SIM Card completely from the device.
  5. Wait 60 seconds.
  6. Replace the SIM Card.
  7. Replace the battery.
  8. Turn device back ON, and test device.

 iPhone

With the iPhone, you can not remove the battery.

  1. Turn off (power down) the iPhone.
  2. Turn iPhone back on, and test device,  if not corrected;
  3. Connect the iPhone to your iTune account and resync.
  4. After resyncing, turn off the iPhone.
  5. Turn on the iPhone, test device.

CDMA handset

If your device doesn’t have a SIM Card and is not functioning properly:

  1. Power the device ON (If no power, check your battery’s charge).
  2. Remove the back cover.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Replace the battery.
  6. Turn device back ON and test device.
